1. Who are we
RemindMed products, such as this website and the RemiMed app, are operated by GB Group (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of personal data processed through the app and this website. Contact: support@remindmed.es
2. What data we collect
Account data: email, (optional) name, password hash, and phone (only used for 2FA).
Health data: medication names, forms (e.g. 30 mg pill, injection), schedules, intake history, refill dates, pick‑up appointments, and notes you choose to add.
Technical data: device type, OS version, app version, crash/error logs, and basic usage events.
Website data: IP address, pages visited, basic analytics cookies (for traffic and performance).
3. Why we collect it (purposes)
To provide the core service: reminders, tracking, refill/appointment dates, and reports.
To secure your account and let you sign in safely (including optional 2FA).
To fix bugs, improve stability, and understand how features are used (aggregated analytics).
To respond to support requests and manage waitlists or email contact if you explicitly sign up.
4. Our legal bases (GDPR)
Health data (medication and intake information): processed based on your explicit consent when you set up and use RemindMed. You can withdraw this consent at any time in the app (deleting data/account) or by contacting us.
Account and security data: necessary to perform the contract (provide the app) and for our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure.
Analytics/crash logs: our legitimate interest in improving and protecting the Service is limited and minimized; where required, we will ask for your consent in‑app or via cookie banner.
5. How long we keep data
While your account is active.
If your account has no activity for 12 months, we may delete it and its data.
If you request deletion, we will delete your account and personal data; it cannot be recovered afterwards.
Some technical logs and backups may persist for a short period for security and integrity, then are deleted or anonymized.
6. Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or a similar jurisdiction, you have:
Right of access – get a copy of your data.
Right to rectification – correct inaccurate data.
Right to erasure – delete your account and data.
Right to restriction and objection – in certain cases, limit or object to processing.
Right to data portability – receive your data in a portable format.
You can use in‑app controls where available or contact us at support@remindmed.es. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Sharing and processors
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share health data with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing.
We use trusted service providers (“processors”) to run the Service, for example:
Hosting / database (Firebase or similar).
Push notifications and crash/analytics tools.
Website analytics and basic cookies.
They only process data on our instructions and under data‑processing agreements.
8. International transfers
If data is processed outside the EU/EEA, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect it, in line with GDPR.
HIPAA clarification
RemindMed and GB Group are not HIPAA‑covered entities or business associates. Information you enter into RemindMed is generally not protected by HIPAA, but we protect it under GDPR and other applicable privacy laws.
Cookies (website)
We use necessary cookies for the website to work and basic analytics cookies to understand traffic and improve the site. Where required, we will show a cookie banner so you can accept or reject non‑essential cookies.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make important changes, we will notify you in the app and/or on the website. Continued use of RemindMed after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
